Height as a weapon. How tall lifters can leverage long ROM to build more strength per rep than shorter athletes.
The Tall Lifter — Your height is your weapon.
You're the classic tall lifter build — long legs with proportional arms. Everything moves through a bigger range of motion, which means every rep you complete represents more mechanical work than a shorter lifter at the same weight. That's not a disadvantage — it's building more strength per rep. Your body also excels at movements that reward range: overhead pressing, rowing, and anything where height translates to leverage.
Lift Profile
Moderate difficulty across all lifts due to long ROM. Height advantage on overhead work.
Optimal Variants
Low bar squat, conventional or sumo deadlift, any bench setup
Long femurs with average arms — squats are challenging but manageable with the right variant.
Average arms with long legs — a slightly harder pull than average, but manageable with good positioning.
Average arm length gives you a standard bench path — focus on technique refinement.
